If you read the previous post you know we just replaced the three door hinges on the RV. Since we had to remove the screen door to access the hinges this was also a good time to do some fun door decorating! If you’ve read my other posts you also know how much I love window cling film and why… so I won’t bore you with those details.
We decided to order something a little special for the door window since it is directly across from the couch and is usually on the hottest side of the RV. Even tho we have a very nice awning, there are some days you can’t use it… for example just too windy!… but that door window just radiates heat! It also doesn’t allow a lot of privacy when someone steps up to knock on the door either! So we found this beautiful window cling and decided to go a little fancy on the door window!

As you can see we ordered a size of cling film that was a slight bit short for this window but pretty much fit the width to a T without much trimming, so we didn’t loose the picturesque look. We could have ordered a larger size and performed more trimming… but that would have lost a lot of the detail on the picture part. I decided that having a small gap at the bottom allowed for a way for me to glance out to see who was knocking at the door without being obvious. So it’s actually rather nice because it provides heat resistance helping to keep the RV much cooler in the summer when the awning needs to be put up on those really windy days and it provides a modest bit of privacy while still allowing for a “peep hole”….and it’s just downright gorgeous!
Another fun thing we did for the door is a $1 decor we picked up at the dollar tree. It’s a wall sticker that is removable and doesn’t leave marks when removed. I like to decorate with these and at Christmas you can order a Christmas tree wall sticker that is like a post it note for stickiness (removable) for decorating the RV… which means having a “tree” and not loosing any living space! These removable wall stickers are inexpensive and a fun way to decorate if you get the bug to do something different without putting holes in the walls. I placed these on the door under the window to give it a bit of “bling”!
It just so happens that these seemed to fit what our goals were with RV full time living… so I couldn’t resist lol

You’ll notice we haven’t put the screen door back on yet after replacing the door hinges and finishing a little bit of fun decorating. That’s for the next post! So stay tuned!
